Okay, I have finally decided on a new LJ name.
jockorama
I have added everyone on my friends list already. Add me back if you wish.
I have also changed my Audioscrobbler name to jockorama, my AIM name to jockorama1, and my gmail to jockorama.
No more Shady or ShadyDK for me.
I'll be posting an entry under my new name shortly.

It's been raining a hell of a lot lately. Now there is no snow. Woohoo.
I guess my procrastinating in not shoveling my driveway paid off. Hehe.
I have to work on Sunday. 4-11 even. What the fuck is that shit? I told her I want Sundays off and she has gave 'em to me until now. Grrrr. At least I have 38 hours next week.

I made my first request to a radio station tonight. I requested "Jesus Christ Pose" by Soundgarden to a hard-rock radio station. They play Soundgarden quite a bit, but I have never heard them play that song.
They didn't play it. Fucking asshat cookie-monster-voiced-DJ played a bunch of bullshit songs instead. He FINALLY played Soundgarden a few hours later, but it was not the song I requested. I think I'm going to keep bugging them until they take and play my request, hehe.
However, he did redeem himself slightly by playing "Killing In The Name" by Rage Against the Machine and "Smack My Bitch Up" by The Prodigy later. I've never heard that station play either of those songs, so that was cool.
Earlier in the night, the other DJ played "Parabola" by Tool but incorrectly called it "Lateralus". Fuckbag.
For those wondering the station in question is 107.3 in Grand Rapids: http://www.wklq.com/
They play a lot of old school shit like Motley Crue and Guns N Roses. They also play godawful music like Three Days Grace and Nickelback. A good song usually squeezes in after every 2-3 shit ones. This is almost always the radio station that's playing at work. Oh, and they have "Mandatory Metallica" every night at 6pm where they play three Metallica songs in a row. We have been listening to this station for a few weeks now and I have never once heard them play anything off St. Anger, hehe.
Okay, I'm done writing about this station. Seinfeld's on in about two minutes. Peace.

I've been looking up a bunch of paranormal stuff tonight. I was reading about haunted places around here (theshadowlands.net) and about possible dinosaur sightings in Africa. I also found a site called Action Squad (http://www.actionsquad.org/). It sounds like a really cool premise, something I might do.
This was spawned by paranormal talk at work today. Latham and I have decided we are going to the Traverse City State Hospital, aka the abandoned insane asylum. There are some killer stories about it:
"Traverse City - Traverse City State Hospital - closed down in 1989. - The Traverse City State Hospital is in many ways considered haunted by locals. If you try enter the hospital with religious material such as: Bibles, holy water flasks, or crosses, they are destroyed before entering the building. On the grounds of the hospital, you can see various ghosts. You can also hear the voices and screams bellow from the hallways of the psych wards. Sightings of little baby's and old people walking inside on different floors and ghostly figures that chase the people that dare to even go inside. Sightings of disfigured creatures roam the basements and tunnels. On various occasions you will see lights on in the rooms of the patients, but no electricity is connected to them and the power has been inactive for years. It isn't even unusual to find possessions on the grounds. - A WARNING TO ALL THAT INVESTIGATE THE AREA. TRESSPASSERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. THERE IS A SECURITY SERVICE THAT WILL ESCORT YOU OFF THE PREMISES IF FOUND."
"Traverse City - Traverse City State Hospital - The Chapel - In the chapel, the spirit of a priest that was recorded to have committed Suicide in the chapel. The Chapel is one of the only safe places on the premises, and it is the only place where religious material will not be tampered with. - A WARNING TO ALL THAT INVESTIGATE THE AREA. TRESSPASSERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. THERE IS A SECURITY SERVICE THAT WILL ESCORT YOU OFF THE PREMISES IF FOUND.
Traverse City - Traverse City State Hospital - The Hippie Tree - A rumor of a gate to hell is open somewhere near the "hippie tree". Strange feeling are felt here. - A WARNING TO ALL THAT INVESTIGATE THE AREA. TRESSPASSERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. THERE IS A SECURITY SERVICE THAT WILL ESCORT YOU OFF THE PREMISES IF FOUND."
The first story is the best. I'm curious about this gate to hell though, too, hehe. We're going to bring a video camera and see if we can get some cool shit on video. If anyone wants to come along, you can, haha.

Fuck you, waterbed.
I finally got the bitch drained today and I tried taking everything downstairs by myself. Big mistake. The stand underneath the mattress is rather large, and when I was taking it down the stairs I broke the fucking window. So I had to pick up glass everywhere and put a shitload of towels down where all the water is. There is fucking water everywhere.
Fuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshit!

Bloody hell.
I can't get my waterbed drained. The faucet is fucked up. My sister-in-law came over and tried to help and we got a little bit of water out, but not much. My brother is supposed to come over in the morning and help. So now it looks like I'll sleep on the couch tonight. Joy.
There is water everywhere. My floor, the stairs, the kitchen floor, all over. My right hand is fucking sore from trying to get the attachment off the faucet. Ughhhhhhh.
Today hasn't been a good day. Tomorrow has the looks of major suckage as well. More fun with the waterbed then I work 3-11.

"Finally, regulators issued a special warning about another kind of antidepressant, Effexor, saying it can cause irregular heartbeat and should be prescribed only by specialists."
That's the same fucking anxiety medicine that my doctor put me on a year ago. The same fucking medicine that I have been trying to get off of, unsuccessfully, since August.
Fuck you, doctor dude, for not knowing what the fuck you're prescribing.

The tsunami death toll has risen to 52,000 and it's only going to keep going up. That is downright insane. I read an article on Yahoo that said the death toll might double from diseases alone. That is a large chunk of people gone from this world. Sad, yet crazy at the same time.
Yesterday was extremely busy for me. I worked 8-4 then went to Cadillac for various shopping. I also got a free dinner from my sister, heh, she made spaghetti. Today I had an x-ray done at the orthodontist place and got a price estimate for braces. It's going to cost me about $133/month plus the surgery costs. That's $133/month for 30 months. Depressing. At least he is giving me the child prices instead of the higher adult prices.
My waterbed is leaking. That fucking sucks. I'm going to remove the water today and sleep on the air mattress, I guess. I don't really want to search for the hole and patch it up. Meh.
I won $5 on a scratch-off ticket last night. I was amazed....I never win on those things. I don't buy 'em often though, so eh...
I'm going to do a best-of-2004 list sometime soon. They're the fun thing to do nowadays.
I got a $20 gift card for Best Buy in the mail today from my sister. That rocks. I got $25 in gift certificates from the newspaper, too, as a Christmas gift. That's cool, but it's a big step down from what they gave me last year. If I remember right, I got a $50 gift card for Best Buy from them. Eh, it's cool, I'll take what I can get. I consider my dramatic payraise from a few months ago to be enough of a gift anyway, heh.

I cleaned up the house today, did dishes, and made myself some cheeseburgers. I also worked for a bit, watched the unsurprisingly boring Lions game, and bought some groceries (s'mores pop tarts, Keebler fudge cookies, gummis, and a sub....healthy, eh?). I managed to do this even while getting a four hour nap. I feel moderately productive. Hooray.
I'm about 1/3 through Fight Club. Good book so far. The movie is replaying in my head while I'm reading it.
I got a haircut on Christmas Eve, then I dyed my hair on Christmas. It looks mad tight, yo. Hehe.
Someone flashed me a "W" with their fingers yesterday on the freeway. I'm assuming it was in response to my Anti-Bush bumper sticker, hehe.
I have to work 8-4 tomorrow. That means getting up at 6am-ish. I hate that shit. It's nice to have the rest of the day to get stuff done though.
Hmm...I'll probably finish up a couple things then head off to bed. Peace out............

Just a heads up as to why I haven't been on AIM/MSN much lately....my internet has been a bitch for the past week, randomly going on/off. It appears to be worst at night for some reason, which is conveniently when I use the 'net the most. Bah. Hopefully it'll stay up the rest of the day.
While I'm here, I'd just like to issue a big "fuck you" to FOX. This "Who's Your Daddy" TV show is quite possibly one of the worst ideas I have ever heard. Reality TV is bullshit in general, but this is just ridiculous...

I have one request of you this holiday season!
I would like you to post some memories you have of me. Whether in real life, at GameFAQs, at LiveJournal, whatever. I'm working on something and posting as many memories (good or bad) as possible would be EXTREMELY helpful. I'll give all of you virtual cookies, heh. I will <3 you forever. =D

The following albums have been getting a lot of airplay from me lately:
Dizzee Rascal - Showtime The Faint - Blank Wave Arcade Sonic Youth - Sonic Nurse
Showtime and Blank Wave Arcade have been what I listen to on my long drives to work and back everyday. I just got Dizzee's "Boy In Da Corner" album so I've been starting to listen to that lately, too. Now I just need to get my hands on The Faint's "Media". Sonic Nurse has been my choice to listen to while I go to sleep at night. It has worked wonders, too. Ever since I got the album last Saturday, I have played it while I've tried to fall asleep at night. I have slept like a baby ever since.
It doesn't feel like Christmas, but whatever. Happy holidays to all of you.
Now I need to go to my family get-together before I'm late, hehe.

I fucking hate Cadillac. What a horrible town. I went there today to pick up the book my mom got me for Christmas. The lady at the bookstore was a total bitch to me. I said I was there to pick up a book and I gave her my name. She stood there staring blankly at me for a minute then said "I need more information than that" after making an annoyed grunt sound. Fuck you, stupid cunt! I really don't need to put up with your fucking attitude today. I didn't even know what the book was because it was a Christmas present. It wound up being Fight Club, which made me happy, but I really wanted to wring that fucking whore's neck.
I fucking hate slow drivers, too. It's good to slow down a little when the weather isn't too great, but there was no need to go 5mph on the main street. I bet it was old people. Argh.
Then, to top it all off, when I pick up my mail, what do I see....the new edition of Time magazine with Dubya listed as person of the year! WHAT THE FUCK? Might as well put fucking Saddam Hussein on the cover!
Yeah, I'm a tad bit grumpy today. I'm not going to put up with anyone's shit. Hopefully things go good at work today. Otherwise it's going to be a long fucking day.

New stuff with me...
I opened up a checking account yesterday and got a free CD case from the bank for doing so.
I bought new wiper blades for my car. It's nice to finally be able to see through my windshield.
All three of my light bulbs in my room burnt out. I just changed them and now my room is ridiculously bright.
I wasted my day yesterday.
My knuckles are dried up again. They always get like this in the winter for some reason. I have been putting loads of hand lotion on 'em, but they are still quite dry.
